Position Overview

The Senior Accountant, Treasury is responsible for the following: Verifying the completeness of the bank and GL account reconciliations as they pertain to Treasury Accounting; the timely and accurate reconciliation of certain general ledger accounts; limited balance sheet account analysis; special projects as assigned.

Account for Treasury activities as follows:

  • Perform monthly reconciliation completeness review for all bank and GL accounts under Treasury Accounting's responsibility.

  • Perform monthly intercompany funding reconciliations for all companies.

  • Perform monthly notes receivable reconciliations for company loans to our joint venture partners.

  • Conduct weekly/monthly transaction reviews to ensure that all transactions are recorded timely and accurately.

  • Conduct periodic account analyses of cash clearing accounts to ensure that all transactions are properly recorded.

  • Prepare monthly reconciliations of certain specialty debt instruments and work with our Property Accounting group to ensure that they are recorded accurately.

  • Conduct research on historical account balances and work with other departments as needed to clear/resolve old items.

  • Cross-train and serve as backup to the other members in the department as needed.

  • Special projects as assigned.


  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related field.

  • CPA preferred.

  • Two years of experience in Accounting and has compiled and prepared journal entries for input to an ERP accounting systems.

  • Strong Excel skills.

  • Good communication skills.

  • Solid analytical and problem solving ability.

  • Strong organizational skills.

  • Deadline and detail-oriented.

  • Experience with debt accounting preferred.

  • Commercial real estate experience in corporate or property accounting a plus.

  • Treasury/Cash experience using a treasury cash management system a plus.
