The Leasing Representative creates income and value for the company through both long-term and short-term deal making.
Creates income and value for the company through understanding consumers and trends
Identifies opportunities for improved performance at centers
Canvasses for prospective new local tenants and to develop concepts - cold calling and follow up
Dealmaking - negotiates leases and follows up, from execution to store opening
Manages national tenant renewals and new deals as assigned
Negotiates both long-term and short term agreements that are on favorable terms to the company
Manages tenant relations
Prepares lease request packages
Keeps abreast of Permanent and Specialty Leasing trends in the industry and the local area competition
Ensures all retailers are adhering to the company operating procedures
Works with the mall team and Leasing Opportunities management in preparing the Specialty/Permanent Leasing budget and business plan for assigned center(s)
Achieves Specialty and Permanent Leasing income goals established for assigned center(s)
Bachelor's degree in related field; CLS
2-3 years of leasing experience
2 years experience in a sales/sales training position
Minimum 2 years leasing support within the shopping center or retail industry.
Experience in retail sales/product sales
Understanding of shopping center merchandising and leasing
Strong communication, sales and time management skills
Moderate level of Word and Excel skills
