Generate new leads for assigned centers, negotiate deals and maintain accounts
Develop list of major sponsorship and advertising inventory at each focus property (shopping center) within assigned region; develop annual occupancy goals for each inventory item
Canvass region to find advertisers and sponsors for the alternative revenue inventory within assigned centers
Call on target accounts/clients, developing sales presentation materials for these accounts/clients and presenting to these accounts/clients; this prospecting process will include calling on the phone, researching on the internet, researching publications, using existing client base and prospecting your assigned market
Communicate effectively and persuasively with perspective local/regional businesses, clients, agencies and local, regional and corporate employees of various levels; follow through as a team player with business group and corporate directions and programs
Enhance value of the assigned centers through the leasing of Alternative Revenue inventory to prospective clients/businesses on terms favorable to the company
Generate new income and meeting income targets at all assigned centers
Work with the implementation team at corporate as well as the mall level to ensure that client's needs are being fulfilled
Attend appropriate Company seminars, conventions, trainings and meetings
Clearly communicate all alternative revenue deal activity with each center's General Manager, Specialty Leasing Coordinator and Regional Vice President - Business Development
Some travel required
Other duties as assigned
Bachelor's Degree required
Concentration in Sales, Marketing, Advertising or General Business Administration strongly preferred
2 years of experience in a sales capacity
Strong sales background in media sales, sponsorship sales preferred
Strong ability to initiate sales contacts
Excellent written and oral communication skills
Strong interpersonal and problem solving skills
Self-starter with strong organizational, planning and time management skills
Candidate must possess a positive, professional approach with a strong emphasis on excellent customer satisfaction and a desire to contribute to a successful team
Computer literate in Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook
